Product Details
A scarf woven from equal parts mulberry silk and cashmere, printed in a soft floral motif and finished as a long rectangular wrap — substantial enough to hold warmth, fine enough to fold into a handbag.
Mulberry silk is the longest and finest silk filament produced, spun by silkworms raised on a single-leaf diet. It is what gives this scarf its quiet lustre and its strength. Cashmere comes from the fine undercoat of the cashmere goat, combed rather than shorn, and is the fibre that carries warmth without weight. Most scarves described as "silk cashmere" carry a token percentage of one and a great deal of something else. This is a true fifty-fifty blend, and the difference shows in how it behaves: the silk lets it drape and catch light, the cashmere lets it hold heat against the skin.
Worn open over a coat, knotted at the throat, or draped as an evening wrap, it moves between seasons more easily than wool and sits more warmly than silk alone.
